Time to #DrinkPink and make #VirtualStrides Against Breast Cancer

October 7, 2020

Cheers to four years! October 2020 marks the 4th year of Denver Beer Co’s annual #DrinkPink campaign to fundraise for breast cancer research in Colorado. During the month of October, Denver Beer Co. and its distributor, Breakthru Beverage, will each donate 5% of every sale of Princess Yum Yum cans, pints, kegs and swag to the fight against breast cancer.  In addition, our suppliers Oregon Fruit and Graphic Packaging International will contribute raw materials to help us make our beer, which we will then pass along as part of our donation. The combined 10% of sales revenue will be donated to the American Cancer Society who will allocate the funds towards breast cancer research in Colorado. Keep an eye out for special #DrinkPink 6-packs of Princess Yum Yum at your favorite beverage retailer!

Since starting the program in 2017, we’ve donated more than $39,000 to the American Cancer Society. Each year we’ve grown our donation numbers about 40%. Last year we donated more than $18,000 to the American Cancer Society via our #DrinkPink campaign, up 38% over our 2018 donation, and this year we hope to do even better!

In addition, Denver Beer Co is participating in the Colorado chapter of the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Fundraiser. This year, Making Strides will be a month long experience to allow a safe, socially distant experience for all participants. Throughout the month of October, participants can follow the Strides Scavenger Hunt around downtown Denver on a day and time that works best for them. They will have the opportunity to check-in at various photo stops to earn points and win prizes. Denver Beer Company’s Platte Street location is hosting the finish line beer garden throughout the month of October for all participants 21+, who will be able to redeem a coupon for a free Princess Yum Yum beer.  Additionally, If participants are looking for a “safer-at-home” option, they can Stride their own 5K by hitting the trails, parks, and/or sidewalks in their neighborhood. The American Cancer Society will be honoring breast cancer survivors on Sunday, October 18th with a virtual yoga class, goodie bags, and nationwide broadcast. Check out their website for more information: www.makingstrideswalk.org/DenverCO

We hope this campaign continues to grow every year and we thank you in advance for your support in 2020! Cheers to you, Colorado! Let’s #DrinkPink!
