Summer of Giving – Denver Beer Co. Donates $10,400 to Local Nonprofits

August 28, 2020

Denver Beer Co. Supports Local Organizations The Alexander Foundation and Frontline Foods Denver through charitable giving during COVID

At Denver Beer Co, we are committed to Colorado. Through all the craziness that 2020 has brought our way, we are proud to remain steadfast in our support of organizations that serve our Denver communities. This summer Denver Beer Co. launched two campaigns to support local nonprofit organizations including our Colorado Champions program to support frontline workers through Frontline Foods Denver and our Berry Proud campaign to support the LGBTQ community via The Alexander Foundation.

Colorado Champions

Colorado Champions represented an amazing three-way partnership between Frontline Foods Denver, local artist Austin Zucchini Fowler, and Denver Beer Co. Austin Zucchini Fowler’s now iconic mural art representing frontline workers with angel wings provided the inspiration for a special crowler label for Denver Beer Co.’s Colorado Champion’s Cucumber Lime Lager. For each sale of the 32 oz. crowler, Denver Beer Co. donated 20% to support Frontline Foods Denver, which provides meals for frontline workers sourced from local restaurants. 5% of each crowler sale also was donated to Austin Zucchini ART to support the local artist.

At the end of the campaign, Denver Beer Co. was proud to have donated more than $4800 to Frontline Foods Denver to provide meals to frontline workers and more than $1500 to Austin Zucchini Fowler. This campaign was an incredible success as it supported a local nonprofit, Denver’s frontline workers, local restaurants who sourced food for Frontline Foods Denver, and a local artist.

Berry Proud

Every year Denver Beer Co. selects a local nonprofit organization which supports Colorado’s LGBTQ community to partner with during Pride Month. This year, Denver Beer Co. selected The Alexander Foundation, a non-profit, 501(c)3, all-volunteer organization whose sole focus is to give back to the LGBTQ+ community of Colorado. In honor of Pride Month in June, Denver Beer Co. donated 15% of sales of the special edition Berry Proud crowlers and Pride merchandise to the Alexander Foundation. Total donations for 2020 cumulated in over $4100 to support the Alexander Foundation and their work with and for Colorado’s LGBTQ community.

Denver Beer Co. believes it is vitally important for local businesses to give back to the people and communities where we live. We are incredibly proud to have donated more than $10,400 to local organizations and artists this summer. We want to send a big heartfelt thank you to our customers for their support of our charity partners and programming.
