Craft brewery to self-distribute in Laramie and Cheyenne markets beginning in February, 2018.
Denver, Colo. (February 8, 2018) – Denver Beer Co. today announced it will begin self-distribution of package and draft beer to Wyoming markets beginning in February of 2018. Consumers can expect to see Denver Beer Co. beers, including specialty release bombers and year-round staples such as Graham Cracker Porter, Incredible Pedal IPA, Princess Yum Yum Raspberry Kolsch, and Pretzel Assassin Amber Lager, on store shelves and on draft at restaurants and bars effective immediately.
“Our market expansion strategy has always been to target neighboring states first where we hope Denver Beer Co would be well received given the fact that many people from these communities visit Denver and Colorado,” stated Brian Weslar, Sales Director for Denver Beer Co. “We have been researching the Wyoming market for over a year and found the Cheyenne and Laramie markets to be both receptive to new craft entries and not overcrowded.”
Founded in 2011, Denver Beer Co. operates three locations within Colorado including its flagship brewery and taproom downtown Denver, a second brewery and taproom in Olde Town Arvada, and a production and canning brewery in Denver’s Sunnyside neighborhood. Denver Beer Co. packages cans and 22 oz. bombers of craft beer, as well as kegs and draft beer for on and off-premise consumption.
Denver Beer Co. will self-distribute beer in Wyoming and has created a separate LLC to manage this effort. “During our market surveys, we also noticed that there was a lack of self distributing breweries in the Wyoming market and felt this was a big opportunity,” continued Weslar. “Key accounts have been open to self distribution and have been very helpful in getting Denver Beer Co. brands on the shelf. Given that the Cheyenne and Laramie markets are close to our Denver brewery, we decided to test the self distribution concept in these two markets with a focus of offering our accounts stellar service. “
“We brew our beer with a focus on quality and with a belief that life should be fun,” stated Denver Beer Co. co-founder Charlie Berger. “We are excited to expand our distribution to include our neighbors in Wyoming, and look forward to getting to know the Cheyenne and Laramie communities.”
Denver Beer Co. will begin self-distributing in Laramie and Cheyenne in February 2018 and expect to expand distribution to the rest of the state later in the year. For more information, visit www.denverbeerco.com.
