October 2020 marks the 4th year of Denver Beer Co’s annual #DrinkPink campaign to fundraise for breast cancer research in Colorado. This year we are incredibly proud to present a check for more than $15,000 to the American Cancer Society’s Colorado chapter who will allocate the funds towards breast cancer research in Colorado. Since starting the program in 2017, we’ve donated more than $54,000 to the American Cancer Society.
Shout out to our partners!
As in past years, the #DrinkPink program’s success is due in large part to our partners including our distributor, Breakthru Beverage, and our suppliers, Oregon Fruit and Graphic Packaging International. As in years past, Breakthru Beverage again this year contributed a match of 5% of every sale of Princess Yum Yum cans, pints, kegs and swag to the fight against breast cancer. In addition, our suppliers Oregon Fruit and Graphic Packaging International again contributed the raw materials to help us make our beer, which we then passed along as part of our donation.
Making Strides
As with everything in 2020, the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Fundraiser looked a bit different, but the spirit of the event remained. This year, Making Strides was a month long experience where participants had the opportunity to follow a Strides Scavenger Hunt around downtown Denver on a day and time that worked best for them. Our Platte Street location proudly hosted the “finish line” beer garden for all participants who joined us for a free Princess Yum Yum beer.
#DrinkPink continues to be our largest fundraising and community event each year. We are proud to support the American Cancer Society, the survivors, and family members of those who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. Thank you, Colorado, for your support and for helping us #DrinkPink for this important cause.
