Denver Beer Co. Donates Over $22,700 to Non-Profit Partners in 2017

January 8, 2018

Brewery proudly presented big checks to Denver Mountain Parks Foundation, Colorado Chapter of the American Cancer Society, and Rocky Mountain Children’s Health Foundation.

Denver, Colo. (January 8, 2018) –  Denver Beer Co. today announced it has donated a total of $22,750 to its three non-profit community partners as a culmination of 2017 charitable giving campaigns.  Throughout the year, Denver Beer Co. organized three campaigns including the Denver Beer Co. non-profit partner program benefitting Denver Mountain Parks Foundation, the #DrinkPink campaign benefitting the Colorado chapter of the American Cancer Society, and the Water Tower Wit program benefiting Rocky Mountain Children’s Health Foundation.

Denver Beer Co.’s  non-profit partner program is a formal and exclusive partnership with a Colorado-based non-profit organization designed to make a significant impact for that organization over the course of a year.  Denver Mountain Parks Foundation was selected from a pool of over forty applicants to be Denver Beer Co.’s official non-profit partner for 2017.  Over the course of the past year, Denver Beer Co. has donated proceeds from two major events, donated beer, and hosted a fundraiser gala for Denver Mountain Parks Foundation, raising $12,000 for the organization during the term of the partnership.

“Supporting these worthy causes is something that we know pays dividends to our community way beyond just the money that we have donated, stated co-founder Charlie Berger. “In addition to raising funds for DMPF we were able to use our networks and audience to move the dial in terms of social awareness for their programs, which has an equally significant value.”

In addition to the non-profit partner program, Denver Beer Co. created the #DrinkPink campaign in 2017 to raise funds for breast cancer research in Colorado. During the month of October, Denver Beer Co. and its distributor, Breakthru Beverage, each donated 5% of every sale of Princess Yum Yum cans, pints, kegs and swag to the fight against breast cancer. Sales from the #DrinkPink campaign resulted in a cumulative donation of over $9,000 which was presented to the American Cancer Society in order to help fund breast cancer research in Colorado.

Finally, Denver Beer Co.’s new Olde Town Arvada location also hosted a charitable giving campaign through sales of Water Tower Wit, and Olde Town Arvada exclusive brew made in partnership with Arvada Mayor Marc Williams.  Mayor Williams selected the Rocky Mountain Children’s Health Foundation (RMCHF), whose headquarters are in Arvada, to be the non profit beneficiary of Denver Beer Co.’s Arvada exclusive brew.  For each pint, keg, or crowler sold in the Denver Beer Co. Olde Town Arvada taproom, Denver Beer Co. donated a portion of the proceeds to the Rocky Mountain Children’s Health Foundation.  Since the program’s inception in September, 2017, Denver Beer Co. has donated $1700 to Rocky Mountain Children’s Health Foundation as a result of Water Tower Wit sales.

“Each of these three programs – our non-profit partner program, #DrinkPink, and Water Tower Wit program – were our way of giving back to the wonderful people and communities in our state,” stated Denver Beer Co. co-founder Patrick Crawford.  “As a business we really hope to engage with our local communities and use conscious business practices to support our fellow Coloradans.  We are excited to grow these programs in the coming years in hopes that we can continue to create a positive impact in our state.”

Denver Beer Co. opened the application process for the 2018 non-profit partner program on January 4, 2018.  Any Colorado-based non-profit organization is welcome to apply to be the brewery’s partner via the application form on the website. Applications are due by February 5, 2018. For more information, visit www.denverbeerco.com/about-us/charity-of-the-year.
